Aquarium service questions

Clear answers.
Healthier systems.

Starter answers to the questions Central Florida aquarium owners ask most often. For guidance tailored to your aquarium, contact Showcase about the right scope and schedule.

How often should a professional aquarium be maintained?
Most established aquariums benefit from weekly or biweekly professional care. The right schedule depends on aquarium size, livestock load, filtration, feeding, water chemistry and how much maintenance the owner performs between visits.
What is included in aquarium maintenance?
Service may include water testing and adjustment, glass cleaning, filtration care, water changes, top-off water, equipment inspection, supplement management and livestock observations. The final visit plan is tailored to the system.
Do you maintain both saltwater and freshwater aquariums?
Showcase can evaluate saltwater reef, saltwater fish-only, freshwater community and planted systems. Use the service form to describe the aquarium so Showcase can confirm the right scope and schedule.
What is the difference between weekly and biweekly service?
Weekly service provides more frequent water-quality oversight and additional time for equipment, flow, lighting and presentation details. Biweekly care can be appropriate for stable systems with suitable filtration and a manageable livestock load.
Can Showcase design and install a new aquarium?
Yes. Professional installation can include planning, equipment selection, aquarium and cabinetry coordination, filtration, lighting, aquascaping, automation, initial setup and an ongoing maintenance recommendation.
Can you add automation to an existing aquarium?
Yes. Automation options may include lighting, dosing, feeding, monitoring, leak detection, alerts and controller integration. The best upgrade depends on the existing equipment and the owner's goals.
Do you offer emergency aquarium service?
After-hours emergency visits may be available for an additional charge. Equipment failure, leaks, temperature problems, water-parameter changes and livestock distress should be described through the urgent-service form, followed by a direct call when animals are at immediate risk.
What areas do you serve?
Showcase serves Orlando and communities throughout Central Florida, including Winter Garden, Windermere, Ocoee, Clermont, Lake Nona, Winter Park, Maitland, Sanford, Lake Mary, Kissimmee and surrounding areas. Travel fees may apply outside the normal range.
What kind of water is used during service?
Showcase produces ultra-purified water through an eight-stage RO/DI filtration process for aquarium service and top-off needs.
Can you source fish, coral and invertebrates?
Yes. Kyle works through trusted suppliers and applies the same compatibility and health standards he uses for his own reef aquariums and coral farm.
Do you service commercial aquariums?
Yes. Commercial service is available for offices, hospitality businesses, medical spaces, restaurants, retail environments and other presentation-focused properties.
Can coral be shipped outside Florida?
Eligible livestock can ship overnight nationwide. Published in-state and out-of-state rates, the Monday shipping schedule and Live Arrival Guarantee requirements are available on the shipping page.
